Sy is a certified recovery coach who, from a lifelong experience of addiction has decided to give back the tools he has learned to lift others to the freedom he has felt from his own personal recovery. Sy not only knows the pain of being an addict but also knows the lonely feeling it brings and wants others to know there is hope in conquering the emotions that come from being an addict. Sy is also an ultra-marathon runner and knows what it takes to conquer one’s own voice in his head that tells him to doubt and to just give up. He takes his addiction recovery and running experience into his coaching to help others know that they too, do not have to be stuck in the dark deep hole of despair like he has been. Sy also knows the struggles addiction brings to a marriage and has had to fight to keep his marriage and family together.  He has had to learn very rapidly how to maneuver the trauma he has caused his wife and how to help her feel seen and validated.

“I remember feeling like I was very hopeless and stuck in a dark hole that had no light and no way out.  Then all of a sudden something yanked me around in a different direction and I was able to see light.  Then there was a hand pulling me toward the light.  It was very uncomfortable, to begin with, and is still at times very hard but the warmth the journey of recovery brings is so worth it. My recovery has become about being the best version I can be, that God wants me to be. And that’s my focus and it has brought me out of the depths of despair.”

As a certified life coach I aim to provide much-needed support in the most challenging of situations, the kind you never wanted to find yourself in.

My ultimate goal is to empower you to move forward and create the life you’ve always dreamed of. As a partner that has traversed my own journey through betrayal and recovery, I know that with the right support it’s possible. I’ve done it. I believe in your power to do so too. I know that while you’re staring in the face of betrayal and your whole life has been turned upside down it can seem impossible to see the light of a joyous future. It may seem impossible right now to think of anything else, but what has been broken and the pain that has been thrust upon you. But I promise no matter what you’ve been through, no matter what you desire and ultimately decide, there is hope. This now devastating circumstance will become a footnote in your epic memoir. By doing the work, committing to YOU, and attuning to your deep authenticity (that little voice that whispers “there must be more”) you can feel a joy in wholeness you may never have experienced before. You can become the hero of your own story.

I am drawn to this work to be of service to those affected by betrayal trauma and addiction as many came before to steer me on the path of recovery. My hope and mission is to use my unique experience to inspire others to find their own safety, healing and purpose. I have been trained in the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model by leaders in the field of Betrayal Trauma Recovery through APSATS, Barbara Steffens, and Carol Jeurgensen Sheets. I would be honored to be a guide in your healing and transformation.

Hi! I’m Staci! I bet you never envisioned yourself in this place. I know I never did. It can be overwhelming and isolating. I want you to know something very important….you aren’t alone! There is hope and healing if you choose to work on YOU. This journey is a challenging one but not a hopeless one. It is incredibly brave to reach out, become vulnerable and ask for guidance. I would be honored to help you navigate your journey towards healing.

I never thought I would be the wife of an addict. I never thought my husband would be unfaithful to me. I never thoughts words like pornography addiction, sex addiction, gaslighting, abuse, and trauma would be part of my story.  When I discovered the truth of my situation, I was debilitated. I was very confused, even felt crazy at times, and had no idea where to even begin. I kept thinking “If only I had been ENOUGH” this wouldn’t have happened to me.

I worked hard for many years to “fix” my marriage but when my husband retracted his committed to recovery, I knew I had to move on with my life in order to be whole again. Leaving my marriage of 18 years and worrying about how it would affect our children was the most terrifying thing I have ever done. I believe divorce isn’t the first choice or the desired outcome in a situation like this, but I know that God wants us to have joy and to be healthy. My main goal is to help you see that you can create happiness again wherever you are at.

I graduated with a MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor LPC, NCC. I’ve spent countless hours studying betrayal, counseled 1200+ hours, and led many support and divorce support groups. For the last 5 years I have been working as a Certified Betrayal Trauma Coach. I’ve helped many women who are working hard on their marriages preparing for disclosure, those who are contemplating divorce, and those who are experiencing the aftermath of divorce. Whichever path you are on, I’d love to walk with you, support you, and help you reclaim safety and peace.

Natalie Bigler

I have always thought of myself as a strong person, one who would have a happy and successful life- but nothing could have prepared me for the indescribable pain and devastating impact that betrayal trauma would have in all areas of my life.  I had never before experienced something so indescribable in any words and yet so pervasively saturating to every crevice of my existence.  After years of unproductive efforts to help my spouse and find help- I felt broken.  I continued to experience deceits and disclosures, emotional abuse, and crushing hopelessness- I felt utterly destroyed, hopeless, and helpless to stop the pain.  Everything I loved felt lost and dead, including my sense of self and heart.

My path back to self-discovery, wholeness, and healing took courage I had not yet summoned to that point and that I could have never summoned alone.  The layers of physical, emotional, psychological, and sexual betrayal pain felt like a thousand-foot-high wall- disconnecting me from my heart and my creative, life-bringing center- which was the source of my great pain.  My heart had been shattered so many times I wondered if it was even possible to find all the scattered pieces, let alone put them back together.  And I was tired, so very, very tired.   Into my life came gentle coaches who had walked this path and knew how to guide me through it.  I began to see glimpses of the person I thought was lost- but in a whole new form.   I slowly, painfully re-learned to open myself to my own and others’ love and believe I was worth enough to value my healing and un-learn false beliefs about myself that were deeply wounding. Stepping into the most vulnerable spaces in my heart time after time proved to be the most deeply terrifying and rewarding thing I have ever risked.  But it brought with it rewards of flecks of gold and pieces of me renewed and transformed- and I wanted to find them all.

I learned (and unlearned) who I was at my core being.  I found within myself an invincible summer, and a grounded way of being that held me fast to a foundation of self-love, compassion, and truth.  I was liberated, painstakingly, layer by layer.  Experiencing my truth was the key to unlocking every new healing door.  All I endured became just experiences to be felt and experienced, but could no longer mean something about me.  I finally deeply felt what it meant to feel able to vulnerably connect with my heart, and, by doing so, trust myself again. I practiced a new way of seeing my partner- without judgment or expectation and with the same compassion I now had for myself. I also got to show up in my power, holding a sacred space for my truth with love.  I felt hope for the first time in a very long time, and was surprised when that hope breathed new life into myself and my relationships.

As a board-certified coach trainee with hundreds of hours of experience coaching betrayal trauma clients, my mission as a coach is to bring you that hope.   I would love to guide you to find your inner power that comes from a truthful way of Being- living in alignment with values that create authentic purpose and joy.  With this power, you can create a life and future you will love- no matter what- and every choice you then make will be aligned with your highest purpose and healing.  I would be honored to walk with you on that path and share deep wisdom and connection and all the love and support I have to give.

When you feel stretched beyond your capacity or find yourself struggling in your relationship with others, it can be hard to find joy in life. In these moments, it is overwhelming to identify where to start to shift out of survival mode and begin to embrace a life of thriving. When you take the courageous step of reaching out, I will meet you where you are, be an empathetic witness to your pain, and walk beside you in your journey of healing. Whether the circumstances of your pain are the result of less effective choices you’ve made or the shattering effects of others’ choices, I am here to infuse hope into your story.

Having walked the road of betrayal trauma healing myself, I am intimately aware of the impact that betrayal has on the betrayed partner.  When the person you trust the most betrays you, you start to question who is safe and who you can trust—and those questions are first and foremost aimed at yourself.  Questions like “Why didn’t I see it?” “Why am I not enough?” and “Why can’t I make even the smallest decisions anymore?” are common in the aftermath of betrayal. Your brain is trying to make sense of something that doesn’t make sense.  It is normal to feel betrayed by yourself in these moments.  Learning to trust yourself again and feel safe in your own skin is one of the hardest and most rewarding endeavors you will ever undertake.  And.  The effort you put in is yours to keep.  The future you is cheering you on!

I am a Board Certified Coach (BCC) and Marriage and Family Therapist student intern (MFT-si), with advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and also have specialized training to work with individuals and couples healing from infidelity and betrayal trauma through the Multidimensional Partner Trauma Model (APSATS) and the Early Couples Recovery Empathy Model (ERCEM), including the additional training to work through the “Help Them Heal” method of couples healing.  I am a certified Deconstructing Gaslighting Specialist (DGS) and have been trained as a Full Therapeutic Disclosure Guide.  I am also a Mindfulness Based Addiction and Trauma Therapy Scholar (MBATT-Scholar) and have found a mindfulness-based approach to be an important part of healing from both trauma and addiction.

This is your “now” but it is not your “forever.” There is so much light and hope and happiness ahead. You don’t have to walk this road alone. When you make the decision to reach out, I am here to help.

Specialized Trainings Include:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy Advanced Training (EFT)
  • Board Certified Coach (BCC)
  • Multidimensional Trauma Partner Model (APSATS Dual Certifying CCPS-Candidate and CPC-Candidate)
  • Full Therapeutic Disclosure (CDG-C)
  • Deconstructing Gaslighting Specialist (DGS)
  • Mindfulness Based Addiction and Trauma Treatment (MBATT-Scholar)
  • Early Recovery Couples Empathy Model (ERCEM)
